Great video. If you'd make a ranking list of action RPGs for the PC like Tales of Arise, Code Vein, Scarlet Nexus, Star Ocean 6, Tales of Berseria, what would it look like. I mean what is the best game of them in your opinion? Thanks in advance

About 3 years ago, I decided to start playing and fell down a rabbit hole where I've finished most of the Soulsborne games now and I can confidently say they're not for everyone and that's okay. I would liken them to having a hobby like golf- it takes a decent amount of time to get the basics down to be good enough, some days you can play really well, some days not, but if it's fun escapism then who cares? I also feel the same about competitive FPS games, it's overcoming challenge and understanding fundamentals but ultimately best if you decide you'll learn to have fun with it

Unicorn overlord sounds better in English sub. Its not bad in dub but its mores emotional in sub in my opinion.

Trails in the Sky for PSP, I have it on my PSvita &..... I just could not figure out WTH it wanted me to do (still in tutorial) with the damn gemstones?!?!?! I really wanted to play it because I loved trails of cold steel on the vita and it was one of the first games that I had after memories of Celcetta, and everybody told me I should play it and so I did.... Was frustrated about an hour and a half or less, into the game.... any help would be appreciated. Maybe it's something I'm looking at the wrong way.?

I love xenoblade chronicles (1/2/3) but Nier Automata is on another level. Nier automata wins.

On the back of the original nes box of this game, it shows the exact location of the horse mentioned above where you have to search. LoL

Mine would be mario rpg being my first back in the day. Ff7 and Zelda OoT were huge. To my surprise years later i really got into tales of symphonia and much later persona 5. I had overlooked these series til that point and they hit the mark. Also not an rpg but mario 3d world was the best one since the 90s. Game nailed it. 😅 Tales of legendia was my 2nd tales of game and i didnt like it as much. Still my least liked but i dont hate the game. Tales of has been the most consistent series i play and i appreciate that. Final fantasy is all over the place 😒

I do hope you finished FFVIII after that. I beat it to a while back and took me only 3 tries and did not split junctioning well on my entire party. It is beatable.

I wouldn’t really describe Xenoblade’s story as simple as that. Since it’s the Xeno series there is a lot more depth and themes to it. Like no one ever talks about the themes of Monad with this game. Aka where the Monado gets its name from. Seriously look up Monad and you’ll realize a lot of elements in Xenoblade’s story correlate to it. The sword isn’t not just called that because it sounds cool. I do also love how it takes similar ideas from Xenogears but gives its own flair. Like Zanza pretty much is the same as Deus but actually has a personality. Both have the same goal of creating humanity for its own ends.

I almost wonder if Nier Automata should have went against Xenoblade 2. They came out around a similar time and both have themes of nihilism. Having seen both stories and only played XC2 I do prefer 2’s approach more because it just felt like it had a lot more hope in its story.

I just finished Star Ocean and really enjoyed it a lot. I just bought Arise and will come back in probably 6 months with my opinion on it!

Back in the say I didn't play suikoden but I played so many glorious jrpgs I have a lot of things I want to say: 1.- I feel like the promised of 120 characters is ok however there are a lot of big issues that doesn't work in this regard, the majority of characters are behind annoying fetch quests which I wouldn't mind a lot except you should do it 70 times. Hero combos are awesome to performed but some combos deal really low dmg. Also because there are a lot of characters they didn't invest in more signature abilities of each character and hope to depend in magic (which is useless). 2.- I didn't mind duels or war battles I dare to say it wasn't impressive BUT I HAVE A BIG COMPLAINT: MAKING THE FINAL BOSS BOSS A DUEL LIKE WHY?! I didn't want to fight their pet and labeled as the final boss it is a fucking let down they went for this instead of traditional final boss battle because in duels there is not much strategy.

Both games are amazing but i still would say Xenoblade Chronicles due to the fact it has a nice story. The combat isn't the best compared to XC2 which improved it a lot.

I dont have a favorite. Anything that is related to a/j/s/rpg im in, just that simple.

I haven't played enough Nier Automata yet to give a vote. Xenoblade Chronicles was a great but not outstanding action RPG for me. It was too questdriven for me (as the entire series) and its battle combat was hard to get into for me (sequels did it better). However the visuals and especially the music made up for it. Also it featured a main protagonist who got its spotlight and isn't overshadowed by pretty and busted girls. One thing I also liked about Xenoblade 1: it was fastpaced It was A LOT shorter than the sequels, but it felt complete storywise. No meaningless and overlong coversations which bored and distracted me.

Souls games are the Casablanca of games, or the OK Computer of games. They are the type of games that every pretentious person will say it's the best thing ever when it's nothing but a long, tedious, boring slog to get through.

The first shadow hearts game is kodelka

1) FF12 is incredibly bad and boring for me. Gameplay was really good, world was vast but... Story is absolutely BAD and protagonist is probably the weakest in all the series. Overall kinda meh... 2) Dropped Scarlet Nexus to play other games but i would definatley come back, this game takes quite lot of time but the game is really good. Gameplay may be isn't that polished but story and characters are great, as well as the setting. Can recommend. 3) Haven't played it yet. 4) Shadow Heart 1 and 2 has unique gameplay and story, but the first game is really looking bad because of how low budget it is. For those who play for the story and not the graphics. Highly recommend. 5) Haven't played it yet. 6) Haven't played either of the two. But i probably would. 7) Xenogears has very addictive gameplay, maps are maybe not so polished, but it's still OK, though a second half of the game had rushed production and budget cut. Storywise it's probably THE best JRPG of a PS1. Absolutely recommend. 8) Xenosaga 1 had low budget and clunky gameplay, Xenosaga 2 suffered from poor writing at some parts, but the third game far surpasses them both in gameplay and story. Absolutely recommend playing through whole trilogy, 1st and 2nd isn't hard at all if you actually build your characters. 9) For those who played FFT it's a polished gem. For those who didn't - you should try and if you like also give FFT a try. Can recommend. 10) Well... Just a filler of the series, compared to mainline it has poor gameplay, poor story, not much of a content. Playable but i would recommend almost any other Tales game over it.

Arise after dohalim arc felt really boring

I can hardly remember Xenogears anymore. I played it in my teens near the english launch and never revisited it, yet to this day vague recollections give me a warm, comforting feeling. Despite the fact that I can hardly remember it any longer I consider it to be one of my favorite games of all time. I recall the emotions I felt while playing more than anything else. I never even finished the game, yet I felt a connection to the characters and story that has never been surpassed.

Xenoblade Chronicles is waaaay bettwr no doubt

I'm a casual souls player. I like the ones with gameplay like dark souls but I can't stand Sekiro, couldn't get past the first mini boss after 3 days. Yet, I beat Da, Ds3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. My first encounter was dark souls, after a skeleton in the second area stabbed me then kicked me off of his sword like he was Leonidas. I yanked the disc out, screamed out it to say my name, carved my name into it, sliced it into three pieces and set it on fire. Cathartic as hell that was Come to find out I had been going the wrong way. So when I heard that the remaster was coming out I decided I'd try it again, but first I would train. I bought Lords of the Fallen and played it and beat it. I then knew that I was ready. (Check out my Dark souls playlist) I've come to enjoy the series and I know why. It's like you're a medieval version of Goku. You're facing strong opponents and overcoming them only to fight even strong opponents until you learn Ultra Instinct and conquer it.
